I have a great love of food; old favorites and new recipes, nutrition and nurishing the body.

I love cooking and eating, making a mix of flavour and textues in meals and snacks. Both homemade and exploring cafe and restaurant menus is fantastic, when possible. I studied nutrition, after having a life long interest in nutrition and health.

I am a foodie, despite EDS complications causing postprandial discomfort and issues with my colon over the years. Having postprandial symptoms were concerning but also upsetting; enjoying tasty food is one of my favorite things to do. It is such a basic sensory experience. We were delighted my GI surgery in 2022 helped instantly, and I went form being 57kg to 71kg (the most I have ever weighted!) in months after surgery.

While EDS can mean food can be tricky, I have managed to keep my joy for food.

My recipies:

I have a few favoroate recipies on The EDS Lass…

Pesto Pasta

Peanutbutter noodles; rice noodles with tofu and veggies in a peanutbutter, lime, ginger sauce, served with corriander and broccoli
