Mallorca is gorgeous. The waters were clear turquoise, white sand and bright terracotta coloured rock at the coves. We visited beaches and coves, swimming with fish. Our hotel, and its restaurant, was fantastic.
Mallorca had been somewhere on my to-go-to list for years. It was even more beautiful than I expected.
We stayed at Villa Vegana, a hotel and restaurant. The buildings, grounds and pool are beautiful, and animal roam free in the ground. We got to the hotel late at night, so woke to really see where we were staying in the momring, and were so impressed. Our room was so classic, with traditional stone walls and white bedding and nettings.
The food and drinks were incredible. Breakfast was a delicious full board with selection of sweet and savory including tasy scrambled tofu, smokey hummous, pastries, and (my favorite) pancakes with chocolate hazelnut puree.
Dinner was a true culinary experience; an international dinner menu that changed daily. Every dish was clearly created and made with skill. Having the restaurant onsite and so close to the rooms worked so well.
The hotel and restaurant was a fantastic place to base ourselves for exploring the island.
The coves and sea were incredibly beautiful.
We spent time at beaches, swimming with fish.
Mallorca has beautiful windmills found across the island.
We also visited harbour and hillside towns.
