Living with EDS can be tricky at best. After diagnosis, I put a lot of thought into how to approach life with EDS. The following are my thoughts of living well with EDS.

EDS Diagnosed (2020)
I was formally diagnosed with hEDS in 2020. The diagnosis made sense of my symptoms, as well as experiences in childhood and early adulthood.
Fighting for Diagnoses
Like many patients, I have had to fight for a diagnosis. I only now have my diagnosis after being failed and flighting for an answer and for healthcare.
Lung Collapse
When I was twenty, my lung collapsed. Spontaneous pneumothorax are serious. Medical staff told me it was a panic attack.
Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy
I was so pleased to be able to have a day trip, across the Italy-Slovenia boarder, to the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. We stopped at Lago del Predil, a lake in the the Carnic Alps, and had food there in the sun. We stopped at a village on the way back to Slovenia too
Slovenia
Slovenia has incredibly beautiful nature. We stayed near Bled, in a cabin, looking out over mountains.
EDS Suspected in Adolescence
I was close to an early EDS diagnosis when I was a child. However, it was wrongly denied.
Croatia
Hvar, a popular island in Croatia, had been on my list for years, and I was thrilled to finally experience it. The water is bright clear turquoise, enjoyed from boats, exploring the surrounding areas. I also saw Split being visiting Krka National Park.
# Diary – 22 August 2022; Local Market
Sunday was a rather EDS-y day, and therefore, a relaxed one. I viisted our local market, a typical London weekend pop up with bakery and fresh foods, snack and meals, vintage clothing, art and gifts.
River, France
After staying in Nice, we traveled north for a long walk up the river, stopping for a packed lunch and to swim at various spots. The blue-green water was beautiful.
Nice, France
I enjoyed being back in Nice. This time, hiring a sun bed on one day, to relax and swim.
Sardinia, Italy
Sardina was beautiful. We stayed at a friend’s property on the east side, enjoying visits to coves, beaches and towns. The clear water and pale sands were gorgeous
Home: Garden Terrace
Orange trees with fruit and white flowers are a lovely combination, with pale terracotta pots and the London brickwork. One sunny weekend recently, I got the terrece ready for summer. The morning sun on the little orange fruits and white flowers makes the terrece so cheerful, bright and elegant.
Home: Three Furniture Finds
Older furniture has character, is beautiful, was made the last, and buying second hand is more sustainable; it doesnt add to additional mass manufacturing. Over the years I have sought out great pieces for a good price.
Recipe: Peanut Butter Noodles
This dish is one of my very favorite meals and is a regular go-tos. It is delicous and healthy. With brown rice noodles, tofu, veggies and peanutbutter, flavoured with ginger, lime and corriander, ther e are lots of nutrition, texture and flavour.
